Care that starts at the root
A small, independent family dental practice in Poole, taking a holistic approach to your oral health. We use biocompatible materials where we can and involve you in every step of your treatment planning.

Why we work this way
Dentistry that supports oral health in relation to your overall systemic health
We're a small, independent family practice, which means there's always time to focus on you as an individual. At Thyme Dental we take time to understand your medical, dental & emotional health before we look at your teeth, as we know there is a close connection between good oral health, nutrition and overall wellbeing.
We focus on regular preventive dental care, carefully selecting biocompatible materials that take into account your sensitivities.

How we work
We take time to understand your health before we look at your teeth. We use biocompatible materials where we can, and discuss your treatment options thoroughly, involving you in every step of the treatment planning.
We start with the whole picture
We talk through your wellbeing and medical history before any examination begins.
Materials chosen with care
Biocompatible restorative materials, and amalgam removal under our SMART protocol.
Treatment options explained
Following a thorough examination, we discuss any treatment options with you and formulate a treatment plan, which includes the materials chosen and a fee estimate.
Working with other therapists
We have a holistic approach to treatment, working closely with medical and complementary therapists, including naturopathic nutritionists, to improve your wellbeing.
Mercury-free for 28 years
We're a mercury-free practice and remove old amalgam fillings using the safe SMART protocol. We work with functional nutritionists to advise on pre- and post-operative detoxification.
Nervous and sensitive patients
Sally has helped many nervous, phobic and emotionally sensitive patients over the years. Let us know if you have additional needs and we'll adapt your visit. We can also arrange domiciliary visits.

What our patients say
From the very first appointment I felt listened to. Sally took the time to understand my health history before suggesting anything, and explained every option clearly.
I've always been a nervous patient, but the whole team made me feel completely at ease. Calm, unhurried and caring from start to finish.
I came to have my old amalgam fillings removed. The process was explained thoroughly beforehand and I felt in safe hands throughout.
A small, friendly practice where you never feel rushed. My treatment plan and fees were set out clearly before anything began.
A lovely, calm surgery and a thoughtful approach. It's refreshing to find a dentist who looks at your overall wellbeing, not just your teeth.
Sally and Tracy are brilliant. Our whole family now comes here and the children look forward to their check-ups.
